What inspired you to do photography?
-Since I was about 16 I’d been begging for a camera; I’ve always loved making and taking pictures. However, it was my friend Kymani that reintroduced the process to me. I was hooked; I’d see pictures on Pinterest and wonder how could i make my own, but with my concepts...my own ideas. Eventually, I was able to get a camera of my own and make that happen.
How do you come up with your shoot ideas?
-I genuinely can be inspired by anything. Whether that be a song, movie scene, or just an idea that I saw in my head. However, I have to move quickly. Ideas aren’t everlasting, and if I wanna see my vision come to life I have to execute it.
What is something that you learned from photography?
-Photography has taught me that everyone sees things differently. What one person likes about a picture could be something that another hates. Both parties feelings are completely valid, but as an artist, it’s your job to make what feels right to you. If you decide to allow the world access to your chosen medium know that you’re now inviting in all sorts of opinions.
